JP, as you know ObjectWeb is a democratic institution. That's why we currently have this discussion. It is essential to have discussions in democratic institutions to find the way that most members will go. This is why I like talking to you all. My intention is not to stop anyone from anything but to participate in finding the best solution. I am doing this in small (code lines), also in large (this discussion). IMHO many of the ObjectWeb projects should be stopped from driven solely under the roof of ObjectWeb thanks to their innovative character and their effect on the complete Java platform. Often the ideas behind that project are so good that they should become a standard for the platform, but since it are ObjectWeb projects only but not JCP projects leads to a local solution where there should be a global one. Some of that projects that are inventing new great technology, should be done inside of ObjectWeb's leadership of a JSR at the JCP. This would allow defining the street where we drive on, instead of only creating a new kind of car ALSO prevents creating a new kind of road that is only accessable by that people that know ObjectWeb. Sure this makes realization of the core idea a lengthy and problematic process, but I believe in beeing worth it.
