RE: [architecture] objectweb & eclipse web tool project

Hi,

From the XQuark project point of view, integration of development tools in
Eclipse is a high-priority item on the to do list. Our goal is to provide an
Information Integration Workbench, used to define data sources configuration
and XQuery views on top of those configurations, and generate and deploy
Information Integration servlets, EJB or Web Services from the Workbench.

Although XQuery is not (yet) part of the J2EE specification (there is
however a JSR - 225 - on the subject), we do rely on many J2EE services to
deploy our Information Integration services, and thus we would be happy to
participate to the design and beta-test (and maybe development) of such a
J2EE Development Workbench based on Eclipse.

Cheers,

Antoine Mensch
