A benchmarking student project

Hi all,

This email is just to inform you that at LIFL two of our
students will work on middleware benchmarking.

The goal of this student project is to benchmark
at least a simple application (like a client/server)
on different middleware:
* pure Java RMI
* CORBA
  - ORBacus
  - OpenORB
  - JacORB
* OpenCCM
  - on ORBacus
  - on OpenORB
  - on JacORB
* JOnAS
* Fractal RMI
* ProActive

Of course, our main interest is to obtain information
to compare OpenCCM against other technologies. So our
main effort will be done to obtain at least this kind
of information. However gathered information / code
could also interest the whole community.
