Dear Participant

Technopolis has been retained by the Evaluation and Monitoring Unit of DG
Information Society, of the European Commission to carry out a study on the
monitoring of the IST Thematic Priority, which aims to help improve the
effectiveness and efficiency of the programme.

As part of this we are asking all the participants in proposals under the
first two calls of FP6 for their views on the programme, how it is
structured and how it is measured. Many of you will already have been asked
for your feedback on the proposal process, and this study does not
duplicate
that work.

On the Technopolis website at
http://www.technopolis-group.com/survey/index.html
you will find a web-based questionnaire which asks your views on a range of
issues relating to the design and monitoring of the programme, together
with
a letter of introduction from the Commission setting out the background in
more detail. It would be helpful if you could complete the questionnaire by
16 April 2004.

The results of this study will feed into the management of the current
programme, and the design of future actions. We would therefore be very
grateful if you would take this opportunity to contribute your experience.
