Reminder: The ObjectWeb Benchmarking Workshop will be held on April 5, 2004 at INRIA, Grenoble, France. An updated version of the program is available at: http://www.objectweb.org/phorum/read.php?f=28&i=48&t=48
As a follow-up to this meeting, here is the workplan I have noted for Erlang-projects:
- Support Objectweb evaluation of IDX-Tsunami. Bull is commited to try Tsunami and CLIF and give feedback and a list of missing critical features. We will try to give as much support as we can to make the experiment plaisant and successfull. - LeWYS integration: Work with Emmanuel Cecchet to study and extend Tsunami supported sensors (Erlang and SNMP) to LeWYS probes. - Tsunami scenarii definition for Rubis. We will be using the server http://demo.objectweb.org/rubis/ as a basis for our scenarii. The actual benchmark will probably need to be run on the INRIA cluster, as offered by Emmanuel Cecchet. - Rubis implementation in Erlang ? It could be a good way to show Erlang features to write an Erlang implementation of the Rubis application (There are several Java implementation and a PHP one). Existing Tsunami development team does not have time to implement this on the short term. We are looking for volunteers and we will be providing support to people willing to implement Rubis in Erlang. - Optionnal dynamic HTML parsing: We have noted that Tsunami support for ability to reuse part of HTML pages as a dynamic content in the scenario is important for Bull SOAP benchmark. This point is already on the TODO list but should be given a very high priority. - Investigate Erlangp-projects representation during the next Objectweb architecture meeting and benchmarking workshop in July in Pragues. I will personnaly not be available, but I will ask others Erlangp-tojects members if they can join this meeting.
I have already send my presentation, updated with this workplan for addition on Objectweb site.
Cheers, -- Mickaël Rémond http://www.erlang-projects.org/
