Yes I think it is a very good idea.  There is now within the jonas 
distribution a versions
file indicating versions of all embedded components (thanks to Florent and 
Philippe to have
improved infos already provided with JOnAS).

 It can be very useful to have similar infos (if not alreaday provided) for 
other ObjectWeb
projects.
As this is relevant for all ObjectWeb projects I think the adequate forum is 
the
architecture mailing list.
(It can also be helpful  to define common naming conventions for tag names).
