Workshop on group communications @ ObjectWeb architecture meeting

Hi all,

The next ObjectWeb architecture meeting will take place in Nice Sophia Antipolis, France on April 4-6, 2005. More details can be found at http://www.objectweb.org/phorum/read.php?f=28&i=147&t=147 (check for updates).

We would like to organize a full-day workshop on group communications on April 4, 2005. The workshop is an informal place to share the latest developments in the area of group communications. Everyone is welcome to talk about his experience, current developments or requirements. The topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- group communication benchmarks
- evaluation or experiences with group communication libraries
- UDP vs TCP-based reliable group communication
- cluster-optimized group communications
- WAN support for group communication
- high performance network support in group communications
- group communication for replication in J2EE clusters
- group communication for database replication
- group communication for distributed caching or lock management
- group communication for monitoring

The workshop participation is free and open to everyone. We will have a session for presentations and another session for open discussions. All presentation materials will be made available online on the ObjectWeb web site.

If you want to participate to the workshop, send an email to "executive-committee at objectweb.org". If you would like to have a presentation slot (typically 30 minutes), send a title and a short abstract to executive committee.
