Antoine,
We have a good working knowledge (and an undergoing implementation) of the WS-Discovery specification, which is used by Web Services-enabled devices to discover other devices and services available on a LAN. This specification relies on multicast SOAP-over-UDP communications to advertise and discover devices and services. We could give a short overview of WS-Discovery during the workshop, if you feel it's in scope.
WS-Discovery itself is probably not in the scope of the workshop but the group communication requirements of WS-Discovery certainly are. If you could focus the presentation on what is needed or expected from the group communication to implement WS-Discovery, then that would be fully in the scope of the workshop. I understand that a short introduction to WS-Discovery might be needed to explain the requirements but the focus should remain on the group communication (and probably multicast SOAP over UDP).
Let me know what do you think, Emmanuel
