Developed by StarMiddleware.net,StarWebService 1.0 is
an open-source SOAP engine based on Apache SOAP v2.2. It is not only an
implementation of the SOAP v1.1 and SOAP Messages with Attachments
specifications in Java, but also an implementation of the OMG CORBA Web
Services specification (draft). As Apache SOAP, StarWebService can be used as
a client library to invoke SOAP services available elsewhere or as a
server-side tool to implement SOAP accessible services. Besides, it is also a
gateway which can wrap back-end CORBA systems as Web Services.
StarWebService 2.0.2 is an update version of
StarWebService 1.0, It is based on the Apache Axis 1.1, with an implementation
of SOAP v1.2 in Java. The OMG CORBA Web Services specification (draft) has
become a formal specification, CORBA to WSDL/SOAP interworking specification,
version 1.0, in Nov. 2003. This specification maps a valid set of OMG IDL
constructs to WSDL. The mapping is done based on SOAP 1.1 and WSDL 1.1
versions. StarWebService 2.0.2 preserves the extensible architecture of Axis
as much as possible. It can be easily upgraded along with the upgrade of Axis
(e.g. Axis 1.2). For more
