RE: [architecture] Project proposal from Tarragona University (Spain)

Hi,

Here go our 2 cents ;-)

Not at the moment. However, our generic architecture may permit using
different underlying overlay network substrates.

In fact, in our infrastructure peers are both clients and servers. P2P
communication in SNAP can be server side (P2P clustering), but also between
clients and servers (SNAP client proxy). For further information, we are
currently working on a paper which will be published soon.

Indeed! We are very interested in the CAROL layer, since we could abstract
our Dermi P2P object middleware (inspired in Java RMI) to use CAROL. We will
study that point.

In the next few months, we are going to publish more information about the
SNAP project which I am sure will answer many open questions.
