Fractal workshop at Middleware 2005

Dear all,

As you may have noticed in the recent ObjectWeb announcements, we intend to run a Fractal workshop in conjunction with the Middleware 2005 series of events (Middleware 2005 itself + associated conference CD 2005 and workshops). The goal of this workshop would be to be a follow-on of our succesful Fractal workshop last June, and would again aim to bring together people doing interesting developments
around the Fractal model and its supporting tools.

The workshop is to take place on Nov. 29, 2005, at the same location than the Middleware conference. See
http://middleware05.objectweb.org/ for details.

The workshop would be organized as follows:

9:00-11:00 Fractal tutorial
* The Fractal model: principles & concepts
* Supporting Fractal: ADL & implementations

11:00-13:00 Fractal developments
14:00-16:00 Fractal developments
16:30-17:30 Fractal v3: update and planning

The first session (9:00 to 11:00) will be a tutorial session, especially open to people at the conference who would like to know more about the Fractal component model and its associated tools. This session will try to be as up to date as possible concerning Fractal support, so it should also prove interesting
to people already familiar with Fractal.

The second and third sessions (11:00 to 16:00) will focus on ongoing and new developments around Fractal. If you have ongoing work on Fractal related stuff, either building and improving on the Fractal technology, or if you want to report on interesting uses of Fractal, please contact me AND Thierry Coupaye so that we can schedule a slot for you at the workshop.

The last session (16:30 to 17:30) will be dedicated to discuss planning for the evolution of the Fractal model and its supporting technology in ObjectWeb.

Attendance at the Fractal workshop will be free, howewer you are strongly encouraged to register to the Middleware 2005 events. If you register to Middleware 2005, you will have the benefit of all the proceedings, ... as well as access to the lunch buffet :-).

Best regards,

Jean-Bernard
