OVERVIEW:
Presently, the telecom market is in its most challenging time, with a fast
rate of change in technology (IP backbone, IP terminals, IP-based services)
products (VoIP, Triple-Play) and marketing (flatrates vs. charged new
services) along with many unknowns in regulation of new services. In a fast
changing market, surprises are unavoidable. Lack of stringent and innovative
project management would have severe consequences for telecommunication
companies and their customers.
 
This workshop will present recent project examples and state of the art
approaches to project and quality management geared towards
telecommunication projects and services - methods to handle successful,
billable and profitable introduction of services in very short timeframes.

TOPICS:
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
* New service definition and rollout
* Contract and acceptance test management
* New pricing structure introduction
* Network or Virtual Network Operator setup
* New intercarrier service introduction
* Migration projects
* Definition and Implementation of regulatory measures
* Operator merging
* IT systems / Network consolidation
* All-IP-based networks
* Project and requirement management approaches adapted to telecommunication
projects
* Continuous quality improvement processes and systems

PAPER SUBMISSION:
Presenters are asked to submit an abstract of their presentation or a
presentation draft until 28.2.2007.
Submitters will be notified of the outcome of the review process until
24.3.2007.
