While waiting for a blog, this may be a space for expression. Just ask for an id/passwd and you'll be up and running.
And, there's a "latest news" system on the web site. An RSS feed for our announcements may be great too.Some tools (unfortunately not in Java AFAIK) may cover all these different requirements (eg PHP-based TkiWiki, no troll) Some also are in touch with the folks from MMBase who develop an interesting CMS platform.
