Re: [community] European partnership

RFID middleware sounds like good application here. ;)

I am working on a Open Source RFID Middleware initiative in ObjectWeb and are also looking for cooperation partners. I believe RFID will be one of the key drivers for networked business cooperation in the next decade.

Here is a write up on the Initiative:

Anyone who's interested in the initiative, please feel free to contact me. Also, we have a mailing list for RFID Initiative setup at:

Dear all,

EBM WebSourcing is involved into the ObjectWeb consortium and initiates the Petals project inside the ESBi initiative. We are going to submit a proposal to the next European FP6/IST R&D call inside the strategic objective 2.5.8 "ICT for networked Businesses". Our project deals with the definition of a semantic based software platform dedicated to provide collaborative services to businesses ecosystems. This platform will be based on a business process modelisation / choreography and orchestration and use a knowledge base about available collaborative services. We are looking for ObjectWeb members interested by such project in order to join our consortium. These partners shall have following domain of expertise/interest: - Collaborative services (portal, workflow management, P2P, Grid, BPM, others) - Knowledge technologies: ontology (RDF, OWL), semantic web services (OWL-S, WSMO, etc.), java based inference engine.

This call is open to any European and to many non-European countries.
In case of interest don't hesitate to contact me in order for me to give you more details.

Best regards,

Jean-Pierre LORRE
