Enhydra: war file deployment in enhydra 3.0.1

I have been trying to figure out if enhydra 3.0.1 can expand war files.  I
have a web application packaged as a war file that runs on jakarta-tomcat.
I got the application to run on enhydra if I expanded the war file myself.

I found some info on your mailing list archives pertaining to this, but it
was a bit confusing.  One message indicated that you need to specify the
path to the war file in the DocRoot.  I tried this, and it gives an unknown
protocol error for "war" when initializing.

Another message indicated there was a bug in 3.0.1 in this area.

So my question is:  can the 3.0.1 download expand war files?


The relevant lines in the config file are:

Application.pubs42.DocRoot =
"/usr/local/enhydra3.0.1/webapps/pubs42/pubs42.war"
Channel.HttpConn8004.Pubs42Channel.Url = "/pubs42"
