You cannot do this. As I recall, when autoreload detects a change in the class or other files, it throws out the ClassLoader associated with the current running servlet and replaces it with a new one. This is basically a "warm" restart of your application, as you can see from tailing the log files, and your sessions are thrown out with the old classloader.
