Hi Nathan, Eric, It should be working the following way: Just set the value of your serial column to null before inserting. The serial column is only incremented by the database, when you omit the new value (By the way: Informix does it this way, and it is the same with all "default values" of databases e. g. AUTOINCREMENT of MySql).
