Hi dev team of Enhydra, I checked and downloaded the Enhydra 6 Beta 1 and have some comments: 1. Great job guys. It looks very good! Enhydra 6 has a really value added to JOnAS. Especially the EnhydraConductor (instead of Director). Also EnTray. Again great stuffs. They make everything easier for the users. 2. Directory structure. IMO, Enhydra should "hide" the directory structur of JOnAS. JOnAS + Tomcat and/or JOnAS + Jetty are just the same as the old "Enhydra Multiserver". Enhydra Enterprise itself consists of: - Enhydra Multiserver (JOnAS + Tomcat/Jetty) - Enhydra Conductor (old. Enhydra Director) - Enhydra Tray - Enhydra IDE Tools - Enhydra Demos Sources So the directory structur should be like: /enhydra-enterprise/multiserver -> JOnAS + Tomcat/Jetty should be inserted within the multiserver Something like (You can just take the structure of JOnAS): /enhydra-enterprise/multiserver/bin /enhydra-enterprise/multiserver/... And the rest... /enhydra-enterprise/demos-source /enhydra-enterprise/ide /enhydra-enterprise/conductor so that it's easier for the users to jump in... It's also easier to explain, because the structure would be very transparent as we can see the definition above (Enhydra Enterprise consists of...) What do you think? What do you think, when will EE be ready for final release? IMO, Enhydra Enterprise will be great, also for EJOSA, as I can just use Enhydra Enterprise and no need for JOnAS anymore :-) IMO, the real value added of Enhydra Enterprise is to make the development, deployment of web applications easier using alternatives like XMLC, DODS, incl. all the IDE supports. But still it is completely based on standards like Servlet, JNDI, etc. A great thing to compete with PHP!
