This is why you got this NullPointerException in Carol.
I agree that the message could be more clear, but anyway
this has no chance to work in jonas.
1) Putting here more than 1 protocol should work, but I don't
know many that work like this. Most of the time, we put here only 1.
2) Putting another protocol that the 4 listed in the comment will lead
to an error.
