Nope. They're unrelated. I started playing with the shutdown today while
the previous NPE I experienced much earlier.

I tied the Application.shutdown() but it didn't work so then I tried the
SessionManager and that one crashed with NPE inside of Enhydra. I have
yet to write and submit a patch for it...
