Re: [jawe] Help with Jawe modelling a process

1. if you use XPDL processes in enhydra shark, through its
admin/worklisthandler application, to be able to enter some variable value
when executing some manual activity, you should define an ExtendedAttribute
for this XPDL activity definition. I.e., if you want to be able update
process variable 'x' when executing activity, in activity's XPDL definition
you should add following ext. attribute:

    <ExtendedAttribute Name="VariableToProcess_UPDATE" Value="x"/>

and if you want only to see it, you should add following ext. attribute:

    <ExtendedAttribute Name="VariableToProcess_VIEW" Value="status"/>

In JaWE, you can do it by getting property dialog of activity (right-click
on activity, and select Properties), going to its Extended attributes tab,
clicking New, and entering VariableToProcess_UPDATE in Name field, and x in
value field.

2. you have properly modeled your process, and to be able to enter data
using shark's admin/worklisthandler application, you just need to add some
ext. attribs. on every manual activity that need to process some variable.

These ext. attribs. are specific to enhydra shark's client applications
(shark engine does not need it).
You can read more about shark in its documentation (download CVS version of
shark, build it using "configure" and then "make", and after that you will
have some documentation in output\Shark\doc folder - maybe you should first
read doc\SharkAdmin\shark_admin.html document)

Subject: [jawe] Help with Jawe modelling a process

> Hi,
> I am new to Jawe and I've got some VERY basic questions that I haven't be
able to solve with the documentation. I know is pretty basic stuff but I am
struggling and can't find a way to make a working procces :_(.
> 1- My first doubt is how to make the dialogue box where you can add values
to procces variables in the Worklist management (Enhydra). I have checked
the sample packages but can't find why is not working for me. The dialogue
appears empty so I can't enter any value. I've defined some variables at a
procces level in the Workflow relevant data tab. In the activity I've
introduced the variable that I want to use. What I am doing wrong?
> 2- My second doubt is in the way I am modelling the process I want to
make. I want that a participant to introduce some data (string) which then
is validated by another participant. If this data is right it needs to enter
more data but if it is wrong it goes to the first step. My process is:
> Start -> Route Activity -> Enter data <-> check data (wrong <-) if data is
right -> ...
> I've introduce the Route Activity because the first activity can't have to
incoming transitions. Is this approach right?

notes and I am having many problems.
